Clare Moore and Adele Pickvance
Beginnings
One did her first gig playing drums in a rock band in a rock mass in a Catholic Cathedral to a congregation of about a thousand people. The other stood next to her father with a bass guitar as he played keyboards in Working Mens Clubs in the UK and then in Brisbane and surrounds.
Thats different to the usual origin tale/route told by art school indie bands.
Clare Moore didn’t play on this recording but was taught by Sister Janet Mead at school in Adelaide.
Henry Manetta was singer in the cosmic Adelaide blue band, Precious Memories.

Super 8 footage of the Rolling Stones 1973 tour stop in Sydney, filmed by Deniz Tek from the future Radio Birdman. A teenage Clare Moore caught the Stones in Adelaide and talks about its effect on her in the interview. Clare also caught many early Birdman shows in Adelaide and Sydney in the late 70s.
